What Is the Deals & Offer Calculator?

The Deals & Offer Calculator is an online calculation tool for understanding common shopping promotions. A headline discount does not always tell you the actual cost of each item. Free items, bundles, coupons and cashback can change the effective cost of an offer.

For example, a store may advertise Buy 10 Get 3 Free. You pay for 10 items but receive 13 items in total. The effective cost per item is therefore lower than the amount paid for each paid item.

How to Use the Deals & Offer Calculator

1. Choose the offer type

   Select the deal that matches your promotion: Buy X Get Y Free, Buy X for Total Price, Buy X Percentage Discount, Second Item Discount, BOGO, Bundle / Pack or Coupon + Cashback.

2. Select the currency

   Choose the currency used by the price in the offer. For example, Indian shoppers can select ₹ INR when the deal is priced in Indian rupees.

3. Enter the quantity

   Enter the buy or bundle quantity required by the selected offer.

4. Enter the price

   Enter the applicable price in the Price Paid / Original Price field.

5. Enter the offer-specific value

   Depending on the selected offer, enter free or extra quantity, discount percentage, second-item value or cashback amount when requested.

6. Click Calculate Deal

   After all required values have been entered, click Calculate Deal.

7. Read the results

Real-Life Examples of Shopping Offers

Example 1: Buy 10 Get 3 Free

Suppose a promotion lets you pay ₹100 for 10 items and gives you 3 additional items free.

Total items: 10 + 3 = 13 items

Effective price per item: ₹100 ÷ 13 ≈ ₹7.69230769

So the effective cost is approximately ₹7.69 per item.

If the original per-item value is ₹10, the effective discount is approximately 23.0769%.

Example 2: Buy 10 for ₹100

Suppose 10 items are sold together for a total price of ₹100.

Effective price per item: ₹100 ÷ 10 = ₹10

The effective cost is ₹100 for 10 items. If the original amount is also ₹100, the calculated effective discount is 0%.

Example 3: 20% Percentage Discount

Suppose the original amount is ₹100 and the discount is 20%.

Discount: ₹100 × 20% = ₹20

Effective cost: ₹100 − ₹20 = ₹80

Therefore, a ₹100 original amount becomes ₹80 after a 20% discount.

Example 4: BOGO — Buy 1 Get 1 Free

Suppose you pay ₹100 for 10 items and receive one free item for each paid item.

Total items: 10 + 10 = 20 items

Effective price per item: ₹100 ÷ 20 = ₹5

In this example, the effective discount is 50% because you pay for 10 items but receive 20 items.
